Due to the continued weather warning that remains in place students can attend in their PE kit on Tuesday 19th July. As this is to keep cool students should not bring coats or additional layers to wear over their PE kit.
We also encourage all students to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.
Classrooms were very warm by the afternoon on Monday 18th July, with temperatures frequently over 30 degrees by the afternoon.
With temperatures on Tuesday forecast to be up to 5 degrees higher we will be closing school slightly earlier at 1.45pm. This is so that students can avoid being in very hot classrooms at the warmest part of the day.
Any students that wish to stay on site until 3.10 can do so and will be supervised in a cooler area of the school. Please contact your child’s progress leader or office@burnsidecollege.org.uk if you would like to arrange this.
Normal uniform and timings will be in place on Wednesday.
