On Tuesday 7th June, 31 lucky students from Year 10 Burnside went for interviews at St James Park. This was the final stage of the Building My Skills project where over the course of the year, students have created career progression posters, examined the importance of online appearance and health and safety in the workplace, completed a CV, written a covering letter and finally prepared for interview.
The employers from all over the north east, commented on the professional appearance of our students and the quality of their portfolios. Well done to everybody concerned, including the 160 other students in Year 10 who completed the five checkpoints but were not fortunate enough to attend the interviews at St James.
