Students were invited to Dance City yesterday to participate in a celebration event based on the work that they have been doing as part of the Care to Dance initiative ran by Dance City in partnership with care homes across the North East. Ā  Students opened the event with a performance, before helping to lead some dance with others at the event. Ā  Students also had the opportunity to learn new types of dance, such as swing dance and they also got a lesson in Waltz from a few of the care home residents! Students also helped to serve drinks and usher celebration members to their seats. Well done to the Ā students involved,it was fantastic to see them be recognised and celebrated for the work that they have done over the past year working with this programme and celebrate a shared love of dance with other generations.
