On Thursday evening Burnside U13 basketball team competed in the second round of fixtures in the North Tyneside League. Nathan Gray, Connor Purcell, Nurein Kizito, Alex Baxter, Sonny Ho and Jack O’Shea travelled to Churchill having attended lunchtime practices over the past few weeks. Despite improved individual and team performances this unfortunately did not translate into results; with narrow defeats to Churchill, Valley Gardens and Wellfield Middle School. The boys were not undeterred and are looking forward to further practice opportunities before the final round of fixtures on Thursday 23rd November.
