A very big thank you to everyone who contributed Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers to school this year. We gained enough vouchers to get a new tent for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. For the students who take part in the Award scheme buying a tent is one of the biggest expenses and being able to borrow one from school may just make the difference for some of the students, who may not otherwise be able to take part in the scheme.
This year through collecting vouchers from both Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s we have been able to purchase a whole garden full of fruit bushes [some of which already have fruit on], some gardening equipment and the tent. The produce from the garden will be sold to raise money for Barnardo’s and the School Fund.
A genuine, big thank you to everyone who has helped.
