On Wednesday 5th July Year 1 and 2 students from Western, Redesdale, St Peters and Carville Primary Schools came to Burnside to participate in a Multi Skills Festival. The festival had been organised by Miss Peel and she was ably assisted by the Key Stage 3 Talented PE students.
Students were placed in small groups and were responsible for running a competition station. This involved explaining and demonstrating each event to 5 and 6 year olds before encouraging and motivating them to do well for their school.
The behaviour of Burnside students was exemplary and they were praised by primary school staff for how well they engaged and supported the young pupils. Well done all involved.
