With a national lockdown in place from 5th November until 2nd December the school will be closed to visitors during this time.
The school will be open to students as normal for their timetabled lessons during this time (extracurricular activities will not take place). However, with the government message being ‘stay at home’ unless for work or education, it would be inappropriate to welcome visitors into the school and potentially increase the risk of transmission in the school community.
Staff will still be available to discuss with parents any issues that arise, but this will be by phone or video call rather than a physical meeting in school.
This is a temporary measure to reflect the severity of national measures and ensure that the school community remains as safe as possible.

As World Mental Health Day approaches staff and students at Burnside will be carrying out random acts of kindness. If you or your child notice or take part in a random act of kindness please let us know by emailing your child’s Progress Leader. We will be celebrating the acts of kindness at the end of the week. A small act of kindness can make a big difference to somebody’s day.
