After a successful visit to the BBC and showing them how to run and set up a television channel, we came back and finished off our own episode for this term. In this episode, we discuss the transition from year 6 to 7 and year 11 to 12, with an added bonus of a world cup discussion from staff and students.
Despite the dry weather the wildflower garden that was planted in October by Year 7s and Year 9s is in full bloom and looks fantastic. If you are walking down St Peter’s Road, you might notice this just behind the dining hall. The flower patch is just by our orchard and attracts bees which help pollinate our fruit trees.
On Friday a group of staff took on a 10-mile charity walk after school for Maggies and Macmillan. This was the second Lulham Five Bridges Walk in honour of Joanne, an amazing member of our team at Burnside, and as well as raising lots of money for two great causes it was also a fabulous way to spend a Friday evening. Well done to everyone involved!
