Did you know that Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award participants have to do an extra section for their Award called the Residential Section. They must go away for 5 days with new people and help out in the community or develop a new skill.
Well done to Jenny Burnand, who is in the Sixth Form; she went away to do voluntary work in The Peak District National Park. By all accounts she had a fantastic time; met new friends and she says she didn’t stop laughing for the whole 5 days!
Jenny has nearly finished her Gold Award…keep up the good work Jenny…you’re nearly there!
