This week the Year 10 and 12 Performing Arts and Music students went to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle to see the blockbuster musical ‘Evita’ which is based on the life of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. The story follows Evita’s early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death. Students thoroughly enjoyed the chance to experience live professional theatre and several theatregoers commented on how nice it was to see such well behaved young people enjoying the arts.
