At the moment we are experiencing high levels of absence. We have a duty to report the reason for absence to the local authority and identify patterns to prevent outbreaks of illness. Please could we ask that you inform us immediately to alert us should you decide that your child is too ill for school. In addition, if you could let us know the reason for absence that would enable us to better support families and protect other students from possible spread of illness. If you are unsure of the protocol around reporting illness or have questions about attendance coding please do contact the attendance team.
