Last night Burnside entered a team into the North Tyneside U13 Table Tennis League. Seven schools are meeting three times this term to play fixtures against one another at Churchill Community College.
Burnside’s squad of Alex Baxter, Sonny Ho, Nathan Gray and Nathan Emson played matches against Churchill, Marden High, Wellfield and St Thomas More. Although players tasted individual success against their opponents, the team as a whole was unable to come away with a victory but did manage a draw against Churchill.
All four boys are looking forward to the next round of fixtures and are keen to practice to help seek out their first victory.
