In March this year we had the pleasure of hosting a visit by nine Teachers from the school ‘Maison Familiale de La Catie’ in Annecy, Southern France. They are involved in research and good practice in teaching and learning developments and were very impressed with lessons at Burnside. Our Sixth Form students were able to practice their French speaking skills, having conversations with them about life and education in France and England.
After such a positive visit the French staff are very keen to further their links with us and give students the opportunity to experience school in another country. We look forward to exploring this over the coming months. We’ve also had the bonus of the visit being reported in a French newspaper!
