On Tuesday 23rd February students who were selected for entry to the silver stage of the TICE award for Computer Science visited Campus North, an organisation dedicated to supporting technology startups and supporting the North East tech community. Students used the language to interact with ultrasonic range sensors and LED’s, they also used Python to create a computer game using Pygame and to build a computer generated ‘world’ in minecraft. Students had a fantastic day speaking to various industry professionals about working in ‘tech’, their behavior and enthusiasm was exemplary.
