21st April – Sponsored Swim @ Hardian Leisure to raise funds for the Watersports Venture 2015
22nd April – Languages Bake Off @ Sunderland University
Each group of students that have entered a video into the competition will give a presentation (in English) on the process and show their video to an audience of peers and university staff.
24th April – The Last Ship – workshop / performance with Sting @ the Sage, Gateshead. Students get a chance to sing in a private workshop performance with Sting and his band
27th – 29th April – Leading Edge Project @ Newcastle University
Students are undertaking their practical experiments for their Leading Edge project.
29th April – Spelling Bee @ Newcastle University
Four students from Y7 have reached the regional final of the spelling bee competition, students will progress to a national final in London if they get through this round.
4th May – School Closed (May Day Bank Holiday)
6th May – Year 10 Scripted Showcase Evening
For students to complete their Unit 3 assessment in front of parents.
7th May – Year 12 Variety Show
Year 12 students to complete their Variety Show assessment in front of parents.
23rd May – 30th May Watersportys Venture to La Rive, Bordeaux, France
23rd May – 31st May Half Term Holidays
Watersports Activities week. Students will learn to sail dinghies and catamarans, canoe and windsurf. They will also have visits to some of the local places of interest to learn about the local culture.
