On Wednesday 18th October staff and students from primary schools across North Tyneside came to Burnside to compete in the North Tyneside Year 5 Indoor Athletics Competition.
Students from Jubilee, Kings Priory, Carville and Ā St Columba’s and other primary schools partook in a range of throwing, jumping, sprinting and relay events.
Jo Walton and Laura Towers from the North Tyneside School Sport and PE Team oversaw the event and were ably assisted by 14 of Burnside’s Year 8 More Able and Talented Sport Group and 9 of Burnside’s Y12 Sport Science Students.
All of our students displayed a mature and positive attitude throughout and were praised by primary school staff for the enthusiasm and support they gave to much younger children. Well done to all those involved.
